- This is my first time attending conference. I’m not sure when I should arrive and when I should leave.
- Take a look at the agenda and see what you’re interested in. There are a few competitions beginning on Wednesday, but the majority of our programming begins on Thursday. The Career Fair ends at 4:00 PM on Saturday. If you are attending the STAR Awards and/or Saturday party, we recommend flying in Wednesday night and flying out Sunday.

- What are Hospitality Suites?
- Hospitality Suites are company-sponsored and offers a more relaxed setting to network with recruiters and enjoy light refreshments. Many attendees report that attending Hospitality Suites resulted in interview opportunities, either on the spot or during the Career Fair. A Full Conference pass is required to attend.

- I got invited to an event, but it is sold out. Is there a waitlist?
- Once an event reaches capacity, there is no waiting list available. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis pending availability. Ticket holders have until 10 minutes after the event start time before their ticket is forfeited.

- Career Fair Preview: Friday, November 3, 2017 from 2 PM – 5 PM

- How do I register for the Career Fair?
- There is no longer a Career Fair-Only ticket. Your Full Conference-Only ticket includes access to the career fair.

- Why should I upload my resume?
- Over 250 corporate and government partners are seeking top talented STEM graduates. The majority of companies are pre-screening candidates through our portal and scheduling interviews that take place during conference. Be sure to upload your updated resume on the career portal. Our partners are looking for students and professionals.
- Where do I upload my resume?
- Should I bring hard copies of my resume?
- Yes, it is always handy to have extra copies on hand. You never know who you will meet at conference! We also offer a Resume Room sponsored by Lockheed Martin where you can meet with a representative to get your resume critiqued or print out extra copies of your resume.

- When does online registration open?
- Registration opened July 5, 2017.
- How do I register?
- You can register through SHPEConnect. A free SHPEConnect account is needed to register for conference.
- I registered and do not see a record of my registration in SHPE Connect. Am I registered?
- Once you complete the registration process, you will receive a confirmation email that you have successfully registered for conference. To receive another copy of your confirmation email, please send a request to [email protected].
- Are the registration prices subject to change?
- Prices will only change based on when you register (early bird, regular, and late onsite).
- When does registration close?
- We have 3 registration periods:
- Early Bird: July 5th – July 31st
- Regular: August 1st – September 30th
- Late: October 1st – Conference Start
- Online registration will remain open through conference and will close on Friday, November 3, 2017. Onsite registration opens on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 and will close at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2017.

- No meals are included in your registration.

- Badges will not be mailed. Registration materials can be picked up at onsite registration.

- Do I have to be a member to register for the National Conference?
- While we encourage you to become a member and enjoy the benefits that SHPE has to offer, we do offer non-member rates for conference.
- Is it too late to become a member to receiving member pricing?
- I can’t find my confirmation email and I need it to be reimbursed. How can I get another copy?
- We would be happy to resend your receipt. Please send your request to [email protected].
- What is the refund policy?
- Any request to cancel registration must be received in writing to [email protected].
- Cancellations on or before September 29, 2017; 50% of the registration will be refunded.
- Cancellations after September 29, 2017; no refund will be issued.
- I am no longer able to attend conference. Can I transfer my registration to another person?
- Registration transfers may only be done between members of the same chapter.
- The deadline for same-gender registration transfers is September 29, 2017.
- I am a Lifetime Member and it says I get discounts on National events. How do I get the discount code?
- SHPE Lifetime Members are eligible for 10% off Professional registration. Please email [email protected]
- What if a lodging registration plan is sold out?
- You can still purchase a Full Conference-Only registration and book a room at one of our recommended overflow hotels. Please see lodging below.
Lodging
- Do I get my own room?
- Undergraduate attendees are housed 4 per room
- Graduate attendees with Wednesday lodging plans are housed 2 per room
- Can I pick my own roommates?
- Although, SHPE does its best to accommodate lodging per chapter there are cases in which you may room with 3 fellow attendees. To guarantee your roommates, we recommend purchasing a Full Conference pass without lodging and securing your own lodging.

- Your hotel confirmation will be sent a few days before Conference. Please look for an email from SHPE by October 27, 2017.
