PMP Boot Camp

Project Management Bootcamp thoroughly addresses all 47 processes and associated inputs, output, tools and techniques. It is aligned with the PMBOK® Guide Fifth Edition approach to project management. It comes with a text and the materials highlighted in the executive summary table. Contact hours from this course may be used towards any relevant PMI certification.

BIO

Phill C. Akinwale, PMP has managed operational endeavors and multi-million dollar projects across government and private sectors, in various companies including Motorola, Honeywell, Emerson, Skillsoft, Citigroup, Iron Mountain, Brown and Caldwell, US Airways and CVS Caremark. With vast experience in different facets of project management and rigorous project controls, he has trained employees and project managers on business management tools and the PMP® Exam syllabus across 4 PMBOK® Guide editions (PMBOK® Guide Second Edition, Third Edition, Fourth Edition and Fifth Edition). Phill was a reviewer and contributor to the PMBOK® Guide Fifth Edition which is the reference upon which the August 2013 PMP Exam is based.

He has mentored and trained hundreds of project managers to success in project management, leadership, PMP® Certification and leadership concepts. Phil has authored books, audio books and study guides on project management, self-development and fiction including: The Project Management Audio Digest, Project Management Mid-Level to C-Level and Getting Rich in Project Management.

A strong advocate of doing things according to a deliberate process approach, his training approach emphasizes the importance of putting structure around processes.  In 2006, 30 project managers in a well-known Fortune 500 organization passed the PMP® exam after Phill’s training. Between 2010 and 2012, there have been over 130 confirmed PMP® & CAPM®  Exam successes following Phill’s direct training. As a co-founder of Praizion Media, a PMI® Registered Education Provider (R.E.P).

Presenting Outside the Box

This 8 hour creative skills workshop will guide the participant through a series of professional acting techniques and improvisational exercise crafted to breakdown barriers of communication, build awareness of individual strengths, confront weaknesses and develop new tools to overcome fears and anxieties related to public speaking.

Charting Your Career

The Charting Your Career Program has been designed to assist participants as they chart a course for the next journey in their life. Be it reaching professional goals, achieving personal success, evolving the ideal executive presence, or developing an authentic leadership style this program is for you. The seminar takes a unique ok at each individual’s strengths and weaknesses, goals, current state, future aspirations, and surrounding landscape to design and develop an actionable plan that will propel progress in the important areas of career and life. The results of the program are as unique and personal as the vision and information provided by each individual.

BIO

Fernando Rosario is the president and founder of Exeqpath LLC. Established in 2007, the company is dedicated to the professional development of executives and managers as well as the early leadership development of students at the undergraduate and graduate level. Exeqpath’s objective is to identify and develop high-potential leaders by providing them with the executive coaching, tools and ‘know-how’ to successfully climb the corporate ladder.

Fernando is an active member, recruiter, and coach for organizations such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), the Puerto Rico Leadership Conference (PRLC), and the National Institute for Leadership Advancement (NILA).

During his eighteen year tenure in consulting as a corporate executive with Accenture, Fernando had the opportunity to work with Fortune 500 clients in the financial services, retail, and technology sectors – developing and delivering large scale technology projects in the banking, capital markets, eCommerce, mortgage, risk management, credit / debit card, call center, mobile application, and payment infrastructure areas.

Fernando has held various executive positions in Fortune 500 companies and has been deeply involved with Inclusion and Diversity initiaves. Over the last several years he has played the role of National Lead for the Hispanic American Community, served as the the executive champion for multiple large recruiting initiatives, acted as the execuive sponsor for professional organizations, and has been an active board member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Industrial Partnership Council (IPC).

In addition to his role as a corporate executive, Fernando is involved with several non-profit organizations providing advice, coaching, and technology direction.

He was selected as one of the 100 Most Influential Hispanics in IT by the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) two years in a row.

Fernando has been involved in the design, development, and delivery of multiple leadership programs. He is part of the John C. Maxwell Team, a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner, and a certified coach.

Entrepreneurship Workshops Overview

This session will have two phases and last for a total of 3 hours. Starting or managing a business requires skills and knowledge that often entrepreneurs don’t acquire before starting their business; they learn as they go. The two phases are as follows:

Entrepreneurship 101: this is for people who have started a business and need to learn more about business; it will provide some basic understanding and tools you will need to know for a successful business venture. Presented by Rodrigo Garcia, P.E. who has been a successful business person for over 30 years. He is president of Century Dviersified, Inc. a consulting firm providing professional services to government agencies.

Entrepreneurship Success Story: hear it from two highly successful entrepreneurs who have experience working for corporation, starting and operating companies as well as selling them. They will share their story of their experiences in starting a company, developing, managing, marketing, developing financing and selling their companies as well share what they believe are essential to be successful in business.
